I hope you will all join me in welcoming our newest randy admin @XsSlayeR3. Some of you may know him as the quiet and polite banteam member of CosmicPvp. As we have recently had a growth spurt that I hope never ends, my plate has grown. Ypperin has kindly given Slayer to us as a helping hand and considering his extensive experience in bans and managing communities, I imagine him fitting in well here at prisons.

Make sure you all welcome him the next time you see him and treat him nice, trust me, you don't want to end up on the squishy end of his ban hammer. He is a slayer after all...

It's been an adventure this weekend and poor Sovereign has gotten the blunt end of the stick. Now that things seem to be fixed and moving forwards Sovereign will have to be rolled back 21 hours (wew for time warps!) however we are going to do our best to try to prevent rolling back mining xp over the last day, as well, I have requested that @melsha implement 2x xp on Sovereign planet for the next 48 hours to help deal with the frustration.

I know that many of you will still be a bit salty, I'd be salty too. It's frustrating when someone undermines your game. That said, the prisoner who assisted in sourcing the dupe has been rewarded with a Contraband Crate (and he's earned it after numerous hours of testing).

As well a shout out to the staff team who have been watching and waiting, helping notify admins and developers when issues arose, and busted their butts to help source the issue!

Thanks again for all the support. You guys are a spectacular community and I know the staff team sure do appreciate it.

Today's post is just a small update on what's been going on recently and a few bugs have been fixed that I'm sure you'd love to hear about.

Tinkerer duplication & Sovereign Rollback.

Tinkerer duplication & Sovereign Rollback.
As most of us know, the tinkerer was released on Saturday morning. All seemed well, it had extensive testing done and worked as we were intending. However, as we know, there's always things that get past us in that process and a duplication was found. This sat out on the server for around 24 hours, giving enough time for the eco to well..break.

This caused us to give sovereign a 24 hour rollback, in which all progress made in that 24 hour block was removed. To compensate we gave out an elite contraband, leg shard and admin item to those who were online after the rollback. The team and I are currently discussing a bit more about the rollback and possibly another compensation, it's not for sure at this point though.

Bug Fixes and Change Log.
  • Mining fatigue will now constantly show to fix some lag issues it was causing.
  • You will now be able to place a generator next to already genned crude ore.
  • Non-ranked players can no longer warp to truces cells.
  • Tinkerer duplication fixed.

Tinkerer
Trade your junk for goods, with the introduction of the prisons tinkerer! This name should be familiar to all of those cosmicpvp players, inspired by the tinkerer of factions with a prisons twist. You will soon see a tinkerer pop up in the shop, he will trade old goods or scraps (armour, tools, weapons) for raw energy!

Mining Xp Bottle
Highly requested, experience bottles? nah, that's too simple. Getting an extra mining level boost just got a little easier with these babies!

Introducing the mining xp bottles, it's as simple as that. Drink it up and you'll watch as your mining experience levels increase.

Mining XP Bottles can be obtained from Contraband Crates and Shards.

Bug Fix and Changelog
  • Right clicking while mining crude ore will no longer stop you from mining.
  • Rainbow circle around you as you level up your mining. (As seen in gif)
  • Hover over level 10 won't say level 103 anymore.
  • Contraband crates open slower the higher the tier.
  • Tier 3 section any cell past 9 the number would get cut off, this has been fixed.
  • Players could spam adding and removing a players access to their cell, there is now a cooldown.
  • Pickaxes now have enchantments on them from contraband crates.
  • Roaming guard in the nightmare mine won't get stuck in the floor anymore.
  • If you kill someone you should be the only one to pick up the items from that...

Whilst preparing for our weekend update, I made a bit of a mistake with placing the sale on the server store. Thus, allowing ranks to be purchased for free, oh yay! This meaning, us needing to take the servers down early to prepare for the updates and fix the damage that was done.

Those that got themselves a free rank, your rank will be removed on the reboots. To accommodate for my mistake, the sale will be 30% off instead of our usual 20%. My apologies for the inconvenience and the mistake.

After two long weeks, we thought we'd give a bit of a balancing update for this weekend to calm ourselves down from all the hype. Although this is balancing, it is something to look forward to with this morning's reboots!

Contraband Loot Table
As most of were aware of, contrabands weren't living up to their expectations. They were giving out more junk than goods and that just wasn't their intention. With this mornings reboots you will notice more goodies than the least desired items coming out.

Weapon Damage
Ouch, swords hurt. Why they gotta be so rude? Well, no more of that. With this update, all swords (Wood, Stone, Gold, Iron, Diamond) will do a tiny bit less damage than they were previously. Such a small difference that most won't notice it.

Enchants for Guards & Damage Nerf
With the addition of cell guard customization, we found that the guards were actually unable to get the additional health from overload and the speed boost from gears. This update will introduce those enchantments to cell guards and you will now see them be used to the best of your guard's ability!



To go along with that cell guards will be packing a bit less of a punch from now on. Damage from guards has been reduced hugely. However, when inside the cell, the guard will do less damage than if you are fighting them outside in the hallways. So a friendly reminder to you all, fight inside the cells!

2FA Enabled to the Public
As mentioned in the previous midweek update, 2fa is now active for public use. Enable it for extra saftey in any lobby, trust me, you won't regret it!

Disconnect Overhead Display
As most players have become aware of, when you log out there is a 10s period where the player's body will sit on the server. This is our 'combat log' system. This implementation will have an overhead display message 'DISCONNECTED' for players who are not actually on the server like such.

Having this in place will promote logging off in safe zones and players will be sure if someone is lagging out or not.

Gang Disbanding
Previously to disband a gang you needed to be the last standing member and owner of your gang. We have now added the /gang disband feature that allows the owner of a gang to disband at any moment in time.

Ah Purchasing with a full Inventory
It's as the sub-heading reads. When you are trying to purchase more than your inventory can hold, you will not end up purchasing all that you try to buy. It will purchase as much as you can handle and leave the rest in the ah. If you have a full inv, it won't purchase the stuff that you can't fit in your inventory.

Footsteps in lobbies
When the lobbies were full of players, the sound effect of millions of players running around could get pretty intense. With this update, all footprint sound effects should be removed besides your own.

Here we go again with another midweek update. We've had updates coming out our ears for the past two weeks, it's crunch time! All mentioned update will be live after tonights reboots!

2FA in-game
Yes, that's right, we're giving you some more security. For those who don't know, 2fa (two-factor authentication) is the perfect means to ensuring that your account is secure if you ever do get hacked. You would type in a one-time-use code given by your google authenticator application each time you log in under a different IP address.


Currently, as we are testing out 2fa is it only available to staff members. Once available to the public you can use /auth to enable it and there will be a simple step-by-step instruction for you.

Lobby Queue
Waiting in the lobbies for access to your favourite planet can be a bore. Jumping up and down in the portal or clicking onto the compass every few minutes, you wonder, when will the wait end? With this update, lobbies will show your queue into the server. Giving higher priority to the donors, you will see an estimate of when you will be next to join and how many others are attempting to join that planet.

Bug fix and changelog
  • /f join and /g join should work with player name as well as typing game name.
  • Fall damage will no longer be taken when falling down the cells stairs.
  • When closing pvs you will no longer be taken back to the pv page, it will instantly close.
  • Player will no longer be kicked from the lobbies for inactivity.

Guard Customization
What better way to hype up cell guards than to make them super customizable? Customising cell guards allows you to tailor your guards to your liking. Personalise your cell guards to make for a strenuous battle. Your enemies will dread the idea of raiding your cell and will ensure a demanding battle will ensue.

When clicking on your cell guards it will open a customised GUI for that guard.

Each tier guard will take only the highest tier gear to it, however, you can apply as many enchantments and as much energy to them as you like.

That gets me into renaming your guards. We couldn't leave them with a plain old name, guards have feelings too you know! Only obtainable through contraband crates and shards, you will find guard nametags floating around the prison very soon.

It's as simple as explained, right click your guard with the name tag in hand and a gui will pop up for easy guard renaming.

Trainees and Enderchests at spawn
Let there be rejoicing in the streets! Starting after your planet reboots, trainees will now have access to one row in enderchests! No, you cannot just access the /echest command, however, we understand that it has been a grind trying to prioritize your inventories while you save up for one of those shiny cells! We figured this would make things a little easier and manageable for those new prisoners joining the community!

Gang Moderators
Your Gang Leader is a busy person, from manipulating the economy, to smokey backroom politics, to sending your foes to their maker, and many of you have made the suggestion to have Gang Moderators who would be capable of inviting and kicking members when your Gang Leader is off dealing with his "business". After your planet reboots your Gang Leader will be able to appoint Gang Mods who will be able to do just that!

Ready to make someone Moderator in your gang? Simply execute /g mod <IGN> to give or remove Moderator status in your gang.
